We're gearing up to take full advantage of this summer and you should too! Motorsports is deeply ingrained in American history and heritage, and as a result we have some of the best track experiences in the world. We put together our top 5 tracks to visit this summer so you can get off the couch and into the driver's seat (or as close to it as possible).

Ford Performance Racing School in Concord, North Carolina

The top of our list is of course the Ford Performance Racing School located in Concord, NC. The school is designed for anyone who wants to improve their high performance driving skills on a professional track. This program is perfect for drivers of any level to learn from professional instructors on the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. Participants can sign up for either a 1-day or 2-day session in which they are taught the racing basics, such as cornering, heel-toe braking techniques, and corner apex identification. If your lifelong dream is to drive a racecar on a professional track this is the place for you!

School of Drift in Canby, Oregon

Looking to get sideways? Then look no further than School of Drift in Canby, Oregon. This school was founded by none other than RTR sponsored driver Chelsea DeNofa who has tailored the curriculum to be adaptable to drivers of all skill levels, from first timers to Pro 2 Formula Drift drivers. They have a fleet of specifically built drift cars that students can take on their 12-turn track. Students can even sign up to have a private instruction session with DeNofa himself. School of Drift even has a 2014 Ford Mustang RTR Spec 2 as an advanced instruction car for those looking to really hone their skills!

zMAX Dragway in Concord, NC

More of a straight line kid of guy? We've got you covered! zMAX Dragway is located just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, in the heartland of motorsports. zMax is a unique track that has been the host of one of the most exhilarating events on the NHRA's schedule: the 4 Wide Nationals. The track hosts test and tunes where anyone can come out and race their vehicles on 2 of the 4 lanes. If you're looking to watch some great racing, zMAX has that in spades! They annually hosts awesome events such as Street Car Takeover, NHRA Carolina Nationals, and NHRA 4 Wide Nationals.

Laguna Seca Raceway in Salinas, California

Laguna Seca is an auto and motorcycle racing track located in the Monterey Hills of Northern California. The track was build in 1957 on a dry lake bed and it's roots can be traced back to the Pebble Beach Road Races in 1950. Laguna Seca is home to "the Corkscrew," which is considered one of the most challenging turns of the motorsport world because of its intimidating downhill plunge. We highly encourage making the trip to Laguna Seca, whether its to camp at the track or to watch an IMSA SportsCar Championship, as any experience at Laguna Seca is sure to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida

Daytona International Speedway is considered one of the major epicenters of American motorsport. The speedway opened in 1959 as a way to promote the NASCAR series that was racing on the Daytona Beach Road Course at the time. Currently the track hosts prestigious races such as the annual Daytona 500 and the Rolex 24, but visitors can also visit the onsite NASCAR Hall of Fame and Museum to learn more about the sport and even get hands-on in some of their exhibits. If you're looking to get a real NASCAR experience, this Superspeedway is the place for you!
