CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA, MARCH 21, 2024 – After months of speculation and internet rumors we are excited to confirm 2023 Formula Drift PROSPEC Champion Ben Hobson will be joining the RTR Vehicles’ Drift Team. Having earned his PRO series license with the 2023 championship, Ben will make the jump to the premiere PRO series beginning in Long Beach April 12-13. In his rookie year Ben will be competing in each round of the 2024 season behind the wheel of a 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD.
He will be joined in the paddock by veteran driver James Deane who is returning for his sophomore season with RTR and Vaughn Gittin Jr. for select rounds.

In addition to competing fulltime, Ben will be joining the RTR Vehicles’ Drift Team throughout the year at their activations and demos around the country.

I met Ben Hobson at FT STL last year and got to chat with him on the track walk. What a nice guy! I’m excited to see how he does in his rookie year in PRO. It was so cool seeing his family out supporting him at the track. Caught his dad walking around the car taking photos with the 1st place prospec trophy he won. Good luck Ben, were rooting for you.

Rtr and fun haver are the most amazing drift group since Ken block Ive personally been to both there vents during nmra and so much fun to watch and actually rode along side Vaughn hitting jr and was so much fun great people!
