RTR Vehicles is excited to announce that James Deane, one of the most decorated drivers in professional drifting, will be competing in the 2025 Drift Masters European Championship (DMEC)! This is a huge step for RTR Vehicles and James Deane as we expand our global footprint in professional drifting. RTR Supported Satellite Program with James Deane Motorsports

This entry into Drift Masters will be a collaborative effort between RTR Vehicles and James Deane Motorsports, James’s team based in Ireland. While James’s Formula Drift Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD is engineered and maintained stateside by RTR, this European program will have engineering and parts support from RTR, while James and his team will build and maintain the chassis overseas. This ensures that James has a competitive machine ready for battle on both sides of the pond.

For Drift Masters, James will be piloting a Mustang RTR with slight modifications to meet DMEC regulations and tire requirements. The series allows for a softer compound tire, which affects the chassis setup compared to the Formula Drift series. Expect the same aggressive and precise driving James the Machine Deane is known for, but adapted to the European competition format in a Mustang RTR!

James’ Formula Drift schedule remains unchanged, meaning fans will get to see him compete full-time in both series, showcasing his talents in the U.S. and across Europe.

If you love seeing high-performance drift cars come to life, James will be documenting the entire build process of his Drift Masters Mustang RTR on his YouTube channel. Be sure to subscribe to see how he and his team bring this machine to life.
