Formula Drift Transforms St. Louis into a High-Octane Battleground!
Welcome to St. Louis, Missouri, where the high-octane excitement of the Formula Drift Championship reaches its peak in Round 5. As the engines roar and tires screech, the Worldwide Technology Raceway transforms into a battleground for the world's most skilled drifters, pushing their finely-tuned machines to the limits of control with inprecision. The air was charged with anticipation as the drivers navigate the challenging course, blending the perfect balance of speed, style, and smoke. With a backdrop of towering grandstands and a sea of enthusiastic fans, Round 5 promises to be a spectacle of tire-scorching slides and heart-stopping runs.
Adam LZ faced Matt Field in his Top 32 battle while James Deane battled it out with Robert Thorne. Saturday’s Top 32 showcased some incredibly close battles, particularly from the RTR camp where both Adam LZ and James Deane would fail to advance. A decision from the judges which internet commentators do not seem to be seeing eye to eye on.
Chelsea would make his way through the Top 32 beating Barion with ease. During the halftime break a massive rainstorm moved through staying long enough to soak the track creating all new driving conditions for the drivers as they took to the track for the Top 16.
Chelsea defeated Dylan Hughes in the Top 16 advancing to battle Chris Forsberg in the Great 8.
Unfortunately, the two would make contact for which Chelsea was deemed at fault in the chase and then a spin on his lead run would end Chelsea’s event.
This event marked Adam LZ’s final round for the season with Vaughn Gittin Jr. returning for the last three rounds of the year. Chelsea dropped one spot in points and is currently 4th 40-points out of first and James is currently 7th 77-points behind the leader.
