VAUGHN GITTIN JR. ANNOUNCES RETURN TO FORMULA DRIFT

Are you ready to experience the thrill of Formula Drift once again? After taking a year off from competition, Vaughn Gittin Jr. officially announces his return to Formula Drift alongside Chelsea DeNofa, James Deane and Adam LZ. Earlier this year, we announced that Adam LZ will be driving a condensed season with RTR. Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Adam LZ will split driving duties behind the new 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD.

Check out the video below to see a production 2024 Ford Mustang GT Performance Package equipped with the Drift Brake while it tandems with Vaughn Gittin Jr. around the track in his Formula Drift competition Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD.

Now Mustang owner’s can experience the thrills of drifting with the new Electronic Drift Brake available on the 7th Generation Ford Mustang. Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Chelsea DeNofa had the honor of working with the passionate engineering team at Ford to develop this awesome technology for Mustang owners to experience in their own Mustang.

For the announcement video, a 2024 Mustang GT Performance Package was used as the camera car as it chased and tandemed with Vaughn Gittin Jr. in his 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD competition car. Check out some images from that day. 

SNEAK PEEK AT THE 2024 MUSTANG RTR AND COMPONENTS

Traditionally we unveil our Formula Drift competition Mustangs alongside our production Mustang RTR but this year is slightly different. The 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 5-FD was revealed before the production car and it’s rockin’ all of our production aero components such as the Upper Grille with LEDs, lower grille and new front splitter. We’ll let you figure out what the other components are. Since the new RTR components are out in the world now after being unveiled on this years RTR Spec 5-FD Mustangs, we might as well show you an updated look at what you can expect the production Mustang RTR to look like!
