April 17th, 2024, marked a historic day for Mustang enthusiasts as they converged at Charlotte Motor Speedway to celebrate the 60th anniversary of this iconic marque. RTR Vehicles played a role in the festivities, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended.

The celebration kicked off with an exclusive meet and greet hosted at the RTR Lab, where fans had the opportunity to interact with Vaughn Gittin Jr. This event included a special cruise from the Lab to the speedway. Participants, ranging from owners of classic Mustangs to the latest S650 models, received a guided tour of the RTR Lab and secured a coveted slot for a ride-along during the 60th Anniversary. Lyle Sturgis from Tindol Ford and a group of 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 2 owners also joined, adding to the camaraderie and excitement of the cruise.
Electrifying Demonstrations at Charlotte Motor Speedway
At the speedway, the energy surged as Chelsea DeNofa and Morgan Drifts took attendees for a drift ride along in the new 2024 Ford Mustang, showcasing its capabilities and thrilling performance. Meanwhile, Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Ben Hobson offered ridealongs in their 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 5-D's, delivering high-octane excitement that echoed throughout the entire speedway. Chelsea also demonstrated the raw power of electric propulsion in the Mach-E 1400.
Along with the demos we brought out a full fleet of RTR Mustangs including the RTR-X, RTR-C, the first production Mustang RTR and some brand new 2024 Mustang RTR Spec 2’s from Tindol Ford. We also dropped our brand new RTR Evolution Tee at the event. If you haven’t seen it, check it out here!
A Nod to the Past with a Glimpse into the Future
A standout moment came when Ford Performance unveiled the new "Champion Spirit" livery on the Mustang GT3. This livery, a tribute to the illustrious racing history of the Mustang, incorporated elements from eight significant Mustang designs, symbolizing a legacy of excellence. Additionally, Vaughn Gittin Jr. revealed the livery he will sport in the 2024 season.

This show was awesome. Best driving I have ever been apart of and seen. I got the last ride of the day in the yellow 5.0 and that guy made my whole trip. Definitely turned my eyes towards a new company making MUSTANGS better than they already are to me! Thank you for the experience!

I was at the 60th Mustang Anniversary, and you guys put the ROCK in READY to ROCK on the skid pad! I’ve never smelled so much smokes rubber in my life, but it was wonderful! I Chatted with my good friend Lyle Sturgis, from Tindol Ford… I’ve known for over 20 years. He had a Perma Grin on his face!!! How could he not… everybody In attendance, was hyped and smiling!!! What a great show…and a great celebration for an iconic car! It deserved every bit of that! Mustang is Still Rocking It!!!🐎🙌 RTR
